Concerning The Death Of Daisaku Ikea

Soka Gakkai Honorary President Daisaku Ikeda passed away due to old age on the night of November 15, 2023, at his home in Shinjuku Ward.

He passed away at the age of 95. We deeply thank Daisaku Ikeda for bringing the gift of Daimoku to many countries and to make it international.

His long life proved the power of Daimoku, because doctors once said that due to the tuberculosis he suffered as a young man, he was not supposed to live that long.

In the end, however, he turned out to be 95.

His daily encouragements and guidances have uplifted millions of people around the world. What an inspiring life!

Daisaku Ikeda will be truly missed.
